Privacy Policy

Soar Study AI ("Soar Study", "we") is built so your study materials stay yours. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Soar Study AI app for iPhone and iPad.

The short version: we do not collect, store, sell, or share any of your personal information. Your notes, scans, and study data stay on your device. There are no accounts, ads, tracking, or in-app purchases.

Information stored on your device

Course materials you type, paste, scan, photograph, or import, such as notes, slides, handouts, and in-class work.
Study materials the app creates for you: study guides, flashcards, practice tests, test plans and dates, review schedules, scores, and study history used for your insights and streaks.
App preferences, such as whether to use Apple Intelligence and your reminder time.

This information is stored only on your device. We have no servers that receive it, and we can't access it. Deleting a course, or deleting the app, permanently removes that data from your device. If you back up your device with iCloud or a computer, your device data may be included in those backups under Apple's privacy policy.

Artificial intelligence

Soar Study creates study materials and explanations with Apple Intelligence's on-device model where it is available, or otherwise with a built-in offline engine. In both cases processing happens on your device. Your materials are never sent to Soar Study or to any third-party AI service.

Camera and photos

With your permission, Soar Study uses your camera to scan documents, and you can choose photos to import. Text is recognized on your device. Images are not uploaded anywhere, and Soar Study keeps only the recognized text you choose to save.

Notifications

If you turn on study reminders, Soar Study schedules them on your device using your test plans. Reminder content is created on your device and isn't sent to us.

Sharing and export

You can choose to share a study guide or export it as a PDF, or export flashcards for apps like Quizlet or Anki. Files are created on your device and only go where you send them.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

Soar Study contains no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking tools, and no accounts. We do not track you across apps or websites.

Children and students

Soar Study is suitable for students of all ages. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your region).

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, note it in the app's release notes.
