Frequently asked questions
How do I add my class materials?
Open a course and tap Add Material. You can scan pages with the camera, choose photos (handwriting works too), import PDFs and text files, or paste and type notes. Check the text, then tap Save.
How do I create study guides, flashcards, and tests?
Open a course that has at least one material, tap Guide, Flashcards, or Practice Test, choose which materials to use, and tap Generate.
Which devices support Apple Intelligence?
Apple Intelligence works on iPhone 15 Pro and newer, and on iPads with an M-series chip, when it's turned on in the Settings app. On other devices, Soar Study uses its built-in offline engine, so you can still make study materials.
How does a test plan work?
Add a test date in the Plan tab or on a course. Soar Study spreads the flashcards you haven't learned yet across the days before your test, keeps the last day for review, and schedules practice tests along the way. Tap Start Today's Session to study exactly what's planned for today.
Why does a practice test have fewer questions than I asked for?
Soar Study checks every answer key against your notes and removes any question that doesn't have exactly one correct answer. You may get fewer questions, but the answers you study will be right.
How do I turn reminders on or off?
In the app, open Settings and use Daily study reminder. You can also pick the time. Reminders follow your test plans, and none are sent once you've finished for the day.
Does Soar Study cost anything?
No. Soar Study AI is completely free, with no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or ads.
Can the AI make mistakes?
Yes. Soar Study only uses your materials, but AI can still misread or oversimplify them. Check important facts against your class notes.
Where is my data stored, and how do I delete it?
Everything stays on your device. To delete a course and everything in it, touch and hold it in the Library and choose Delete Course. Deleting the app removes all Soar Study data.
